“Today’s Seed” from E-MIN May 17, 2023

Your regular TS message will resume on Monday, May 22nd

Thank you for understanding as I “take a break” for a ministry conference this week.

I sent yesterday what is undoubtedly the most challenging and potentially controversial update you have received from me to date. If you missed it, you can find it HERE. It is about a 7-10 minute read. Please take time to do so if you haven’t already.

If you’ve wondered why the dramatic cultural shifts we have seen recently are happening, this update will give you some insight. We must, as Believers, do more than complain or be appalled. Learn more: READ IT HERE

This week, not having time to write a “regular” message, I will repeat some previous messages in order to have something to send you. The message below was for Today’s Seed’s twentieth anniversary, originally sent on Oct. 08, 2018. It was also the first TS message sent to the test group on Sept. 30, 1998.

Drum roll… Today’s Seed turned twenty yesterday!

Today’s Seed (TS) began on Sept. 30, 1998 as a “test” to a
small group, then went live to the subscriber base (just over
100 people at the time) on Oct. 07, 1998. As a ministry,
E-MIN began in 1997 and TS was our first regular service.

We were also the earliest Christian ministry online. I
say it this way because if there was anyone earlier, I have
not found them. Though I have not researched this, we may also
be the longest continuously operating Internet-based ministry
as well.

While there were a handful of other “billboard”
(informational) sites at that time, E-MIN was the first
authentic outreach ministry on the Internet, the first to
recognize the Internet as a legitimate mission field, and
the first to utilize it to publish native content (content
designed for Internet ministry and not edited from some
other media source).

Lots of history made. Lots yet to make. Please continue to
cover us in your prayers daily.

BTW, below is the TS message that began it all twenty years ago

Today’s Seed™ Scripture and Prayer for May 17, 2023:

And now, dear friends, let me say one more thing as I
close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true
and honorable and right. Think about things that are
pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things
that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep
putting into practice all you learned from me and
heard from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace
will be with you. (Phil 4:8-9 NLT)

Prayer: LORD, I am thankful that You have given me
the key to living in peace. Help me think on these
things continually. As I do, I know that Your peace
will grow stronger in my life every day. In Jesus’
name, Amen. (c) 2023 Randall Vaughn • All Rights Reserved • http://www.e-min.org
